API 5L x70 psl2 pipe is a carbon steel pipe made up of carbon, manganese, sulfur, silicon, phosphorus, vanadium, niobium and titanium in the composition. The composition of the API 5L Grade x70 pipe allows it to be strong, hard, corrosion resistant and long lasting. The dimensions of the pipes vary based on the standards. The API 5L x70 pipe has two different product specification levels. Supplier of Longitudinal Welded pipes SAW pipes have diameters ranging between 18" to 56". The wall thickness of the pipes vary and result in different schedules. The schedules are and indication of pressure containment capacities.

The API 5L x70m psl2 pipe and the PSL1 pipe have schedules ranging from sch10 through XXS. The standard schedules are also available. The schedule XS is for heavy wall pipes and the XXS is for extra heavy wall pipes. These are used in very high pressure conditions. The API 5L x70 psl1 erw pipe is made of electric resistance welding whereas fabricated, welded and seamless pipe type production is also very common. The Carbon steel x70 Welded pipe has 70ksi minimum yield strength. The pipes are made according to the American Petroleum Institute specifications.
