As with several ASTM specifications, there is a necessity to conform to the tensile requirements. And therefore, the tensile and yield strength will be tested in addition to some mechanical tests. Every specimen of the Large diameter stainless steel welded pipe will be required to undergo either a hydrostatic test or a nondestructive electric test. The ASTM A312 also requires that the austenitic grade ASME B36.19 Stainless steel efw pipe undergo a grain determination test. To fully comprehend the mechanical properties of an alloy, it is necessary to determine its grain size due to its correlation. Properties such as tensile and yield strength, fatigue strength, impact strength, and hardness are all affected by the grain size of the Schedule 10 stainless steel pipe. Another test that may be performed on these austenitic alloys is weld decay, which is a test for intergranular corrosion.
