ASME SA210 grade a1 boiler tubes are high temperature, high pressure service pipes. These are used in boiler, heat exchanger and in pressure vessel applications. The SA210 Gr a1 material has carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon in the composition. The composition makes the different sizes of ASTM A210 Boiler Pipe to have high yield and tensile strength values. The minimum yield strength of the pipes is 255MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 415MPa. The hardness of the material is also comparatively high with 79HRB and 143HB max. The ASTM A210 Gr a1 tube is made in different diameters.

The outer diameters of the pipes range from ¼ inches to 36 inches. The wall thicknesses vary and the SA 210m Gr a1 Tubing schedules vary as well. There can be sch10 through sch160, standard and extra high wall thicknesses. The high wall thickness, high tensile strength and the high temperature tolerance of the SA210 Gr a1 pipe land them in high temperature, high pressure applications. The pipes can be made with different end types.


There are beveled, threaded, screwed and plain end pipe types. The ASTM A210 GR A1 Seamless Carbon Steel Tubes can be welded with ease with most conventional methods. Preheating is not required for welding. And post weld heat treatment is also not required. The SA210 Gr. A1 heat exchanger tubes are specially made for the heat exchangers. There are round, rectangular, square and U pipe types.
